Meet the Team

Lachy – Founder

Lachy founded Connect Grow Thrive with a clear purpose: to support young men through positive male role modelling and meaningful community connections. His vision was shaped by a strong belief in the impact that consistent guidance and encouragement can have during key stages of a young person’s life.

Today, Lachy remains closely involved in guiding the values, culture and direction of the organisation, ensuring the team delivers support that is respectful, reliable and centred around genuine personal growth.

Jaidyn – Support Worker

Hello, I’m Jaidyn. Originally from Tasmania, I have lived on the Sunshine Coast for the past three years and support young males aged 11 to 25.

My work centres around helping participants engage in active and social environments, including gym sessions, hiking and football training. I have also assisted with coaching the All Abilities Noosa Football Team.

I take a practical and encouraging approach to support, helping participants stay active, involved and connected with their community

Jordan – Support Worker

Hi, I’m Jordan. I’m 25 years old and have been working as a support worker for the past three years after previously working in plumbing.

I have experience supporting participants with a wide range of needs, including individuals requiring higher levels of support. I focus on building trust and creating a safe, supportive environment where participants feel comfortable to develop skills and work towards personal goals.

I particularly enjoy supporting participants with outdoor activities, employment pathways and opportunities that build confidence in everyday life.

Chris – Support Worker

Hi, I’m Chris. I’m 31 and have over ten years’ experience working in wellbeing roles across primary and secondary schools in Victoria before recently relocating to Queensland.

My background has given me strong experience supporting young people through challenges, building resilience and helping them stay engaged in positive activities.

Outside of work I enjoy playing volleyball and being involved in community music programs, and I bring an understanding, balanced and positive perspective to the work I do.

Noah – Support Worker

Hi, I’m Noah. I have been working as a support worker since August 2023, primarily supporting young adults in both community and in-home settings.

I focus on providing steady, reliable support while helping participants develop everyday life skills and build confidence in new situations. I value consistency and positive relationships, and I aim to create an environment where participants feel comfortable trying new things.

Outside of work I enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors and keeping busy with different activities.

Mat (Hawk) – Support Worker

Hi, I’m Mat, though most people know me as Hawk. Originally from Tasmania, I’ve lived on the Sunshine Coast for nearly 10 years.

I have experience supporting young people and adults across a range of settings, including youth support, aged care and health retreat environments. I hold a Certificate IV in Community Services and a qualification in Lifestyle and Leisure (Activities Therapy), where I used approaches such as music based engagement to support wellbeing. I am also a qualified Punch fit trainer.

Outside of work I enjoy training at the gym, spending time at the beach with my dogs, playing guitar and cooking.

Ruben – Support Worker

Hi, I’m Ruben. I work as both a support worker and personal trainer, combining my experience in fitness with a strong focus on supportive, person-centred care.

I enjoy helping people build strength, improve mobility and feel more confident in their everyday activities. I have experience working with a wide range of individuals, including beginners, athletes and people managing physical or neurological conditions.

Through my work and ongoing studies in Clinical Exercise Physiology, I aim to provide practical support that helps people stay active, capable and engaged in their daily lives.
